ABBOT- Vivian P. Trafton, 93, died February 19, 2012, at Hibbard Nursing Home in Dover-Foxcroft. She was born August 9, 1918, in Parkman, daughter of Roland and Vera (Stevens) Campbell.
She graduated from Abbot High School class of 1936, and worked at the Guilford Woolen Mill for many years.
She was a 50 year member of the Pythian Sisters in Abbot, a member of the Monson Sunshine Club, the Abbot Historical Society, and the Abbot Evangelical Free Church.
She is survived by 2 daughters-in-law, Barbara Trafton of Abbot, and Helen Leighton of Amherst; 8 grandchildren, Susan Trafton, Peggy Cleaves, Laurie Martell, Julie Dawkins, Corey Trafton, Jeff Downs, Jeanne Shae, and Tamora Flynn; 13 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren; and special cousins, Charlene Clark of NH, and Carolyn Barbour of Bangor and their families.
She was predeceased by her husband, Desmond H. Trafton; and 3 sons, Ronald, Roland, and Malcolm.
Funeral services will be held 3 PM, Wednesday, February 22, 2012, at Crosby & Neal, 21 Oak Street in Guilford, with Pastor Ray Beless officiating. Friends may call from 2 PM, until the time of the service.
Spring burial will be in the Abbot Village Cemetery.
