Allen L. Bemis CORINNA - Allen Bemis, 50, passed away peacefully January 18, 2021 at his home with his family by his side. He was the best husband, father, grandfather and friend anyone could ask for. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone. Allen was born November 19, 1970 in Dover-Foxcroft, the son of Stanley and Katherine (Hanscom) Bemis. He was recently named foreman for the Town of Corinna Public Works Department. Allen was a member of the Corinna Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Parian Masonic Lodge in Corinna. He loved spending time with his family and friends and enjoyed his special fishing trips, tractor pulling, working on his Ford truck and sawmill and puttering in his garage. Family and friends would many times gather there to hang out and have a good time. Karrie: "As I write this obituary I can't express the love and loss that we all feel. You are my one and only - and my best friend. There are not enough words to say how truly amazing you were. The times we shared will always be treasured and never forgotten. Thank you for the best 25 years together." In addition to his parents and loving wife of 25 years, he leaves 2 sons Zachary Bemis, his daughter, Mariah Ann Bemis, and his fiancee Courtney Fuller; and Brandon Bemis; 4 sisters, Althea and husband Randy Baker and family, Lucinda and husband Gary Cunningham and family, Roberta Bemis and boyfriend Bobby Wing and family, Shanna and husband Ryan Desjardins and family; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. "All of our hearts grieve for you and my heart will always have an empty space without you. Until we meet again my love." A private committal will be held in the spring at Morse's Corner Cemetery, Corinna. A public celebration of life will also be held in the spring at a time to be announced.
