PLYMOUTH - Allen Meservey, 70, died September 11, 2021 at his residence. He was born August 7, 1951 in Burnham, a son of Edward and Syretha (Gamblin) Meservey, Sr. He served in the military for 34 years: 12 in the Army including the Vietnam era and 22 in the National Guard as an aircraft maintenance inspector. Allen enjoyed woodworking, camping, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Barbara (Ward) Meservey of Plymouth; 2 sons, Christopher and wife Jaime of Palmyra, and Boyce of Pittsfield; 2 daughters, Jennifer and husband Tom Kuespert of Hartland, and Maranda and husband Michael Thompson of Levant; 2 brothers, Sam of Bangor, Mike and wife Nora of Milo; 1 sister, Sharon Dearborn of Newport; 13 grandchildren; 1 great grandson and 1 great grand daughter.
A graveside committal service will be held at 2 P.M. Sunday, September 26th, at Sawyer Cemetery, Plymouth. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1 Bowdoin Mill Island, Suite 300, Topsham, ME 04086.
