DEXTER - Andrea Johnson, 66, peacefully passed away on October 15, 2020 after a long battle with her doctors. She was known for her witty, spunky, and feisty personality. She loved books, shoes, and cold instant coffee. She also enjoyed traveling to new places. Andrea enjoyed living life differently. She loved debating her strong opinions and beliefs. She was known for her kind and caring heart. She loved her family and all animals. She was humble in her work as a CNA making time to get to know her patients and personally connecting with them. She was a beloved mother of 3 daughters whom she raised on her own. She led by example stressing the power of voice and the importance of compassion, strength and independence. Andrea is survived by her mother, Evangeline Johnson; her daughters, Heather Charkowski, Holly Brown and Hope Johnson; her sisters, Priscilla Johnson, Roberta Burdin and Sylvia Cutler; her brothers, Floyd Johnson, Jr. and James Johnson; and their families. She is also survived by her treasured grandchildren, Abigail Brown, Noah Brown, Liliana Charkowski, Kalina Charkowski and Aiden Hamilton. A graveside ceremony will be held at 2:30 P.M. Tuesday, October 27 th at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Dexter.
