EXETER- Arlene Elizabeth Mooers, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away March 13th, 2025, at the age of 93. A daughter of Pearl and Hattie Pushor, Arlene was born on August 6th, 1931, in South Brewer, Maine. Her warmth, kindness, and passion for life left an indelible mark on everyone who knew her.
Arlene had a deep love for gardening, tending to both vibrant flowers and bountiful vegetables with care and dedication. She took great pride in canning the fruits of her labor, ensuring that the flavors of summer could be enjoyed all year long. An avid bird watcher, she found joy in feeding and observing the many feathered visitors to her yard, besides those pesky Gold Finches.
She was a woman who appreciated life's simple pleasures- whether it was working on one of her "hundreds" of puzzles, spending time with her family, or traveling to her favorite places with her husband Ralph. Prince Edward Island held a special place in her heart, as did Aroostook County, where she loved to visit. Every summer she loved to go camping, embracing the beauty of the outdoors. She also found peace along the coast, where the sound of the waves and the salty air brought her comfort.
Arlene is predeceased by her parents Pearl and Hattie Pushor, her loving husband Ralph Mooers Sr of 53 years, her brother Robert and sisters Helen and Lilla, and her special furry friend, her "baby girl" Sasha. Arlene is survived by her sons Ralph and wife Ellie, and Rodney both of Exeter, Roger of Garland, and her daughter Brenda of Corinna. She is also survived by a brother David and his wife Bobbi of Florida, and her sister Beverly and husband Wayne of Texas. As well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor her memory by taking a moment to appreciate nature, solve a puzzle, or share a warm meal with loved ones.
