Arlene Mullis, 96, died February 22, 2020 in Belfast. She was born August 9, 1923 in Newport, a daughter of Frank and Glennie (Langley) Boylan. She graduated from Newport High School and the Arolin Greenway Beauty School. Arlene was a longtime beautician in the Corinna and Newport areas for 70 + years. She was a member of Nokomis Chapter, O.E.S. and attended the Corinna United Methodist Church. She is survived by 2 sons, Michael and wife Nancy of Corinna, Stuart and wife Marcia of Rochester, NH; a daughter, Sharon and husband Donald Young of Lehigh Acres, Florida; 3 sisters, Lorraine and husband Richard Stone, Karlene Boylan and Linda Boylan, all of Newport; 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; several nieces and nephews. Arlene was predeceased by her husband Eursel; son Ronald; brothers Stanley and Lauris Boylan; sisters Lucille Gregoire, Jean Beem and Muriel Boylan; brothers in law, Ronald, Elwood and Charles Mullis; sister in law Eldora Mullis Dow; and a great grandson, Thomas Dodson. Friends may call from 6-8 P.M. Tuesday at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport, where funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. Wednesday, February 26th, with Pastor Al Worden officiating.
