NEWPORT - Armand Cloutier, 72, died on his birthday, July 24, 2021. He was born July 24, 1949 in Lewiston, a son of Armand J. and Jeannette (Roy) Cloutier. Armand served in the U. S. Army in Vietnam from 1969 to 1971.
He was employed at Gilman Hardware, Guilford Industries, and was self-employed as an appliance repairman, all in Newport. He had attended Calvary Baptist Church and the Jubilee Family Worship Center, both of Newport and the Charleston Pentecostal Church. He was strong in his faith and now he is with his Lord and Savior. He ran the race and is now at peace. Dad was a gentle giant with a heart of gold. Armand would help anyone and also had the gift to gab!
He is survived by his son, Armand J. Cloutier of Corinna; 3 daughters, Missy Ferris of New Sharon, Michele Butler of Bangor, and Tammy Cloutier of Newport; a sister Joanne Cloutier of FL; and an adopted grandson Derrick Bernard, of Hartland; his ex-wife Patricia Dill of New Sharon; 7 grandchildren; and his beloved cat Minou.
Services will be held at 11 A. M. Friday, August 6th, at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport, with the Rev. Scott Black officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery, Newport.
