On January 22, 2019, Arthur Maynard Folsom went peacefully to be with the Lord. He was the son of Frank Elwin Folsom and Pearl Magoon Folsom, of Cambridge, Maine. Arthur attended Higgins High School in Charleston, Maine, National Bible Institute in New York City and at the age of 65 received his GED from Dexter High School. Various occupations of his life included woodsman, insurance salesman, chicken farmer, mechanic and truck driver.
He was an active member of Windham Baptist Church in Windham, Maine. His faith guided how he lived his daily life and his Christian influence was felt by many who crossed his path. He was quick to share his faith and to give God the glory in all circumstances.
His devotion to his wife of 73 years was evidenced by holding her hand everywhere they went as well as his constant love and attention to her every want and need.
Our memories of him are dear as a family, and he is, and will be missed by all. He is survived by his beloved wife, Althea Watson Folsom, currently living in Asheville, NC, his twin siblings, Elmer Folsom (wife Phyllis Folsom) of Cambridge, Maine, and Thelma Folsom Camburn living in Hockessin, Delaware. Also surviving are his three daughters: Sherrill (Folsom) Powers (husband, Ron Powers) of St. Johnsbury, VT; Maureen (Folsom) Bryant (husband Carlton Bryant) of Buxton, Maine; and Lynette (Folsom) Eremic' (husband Andrew Eremic') of Asheville, NC with whom Arthur and Althea have resided for the past 3 years. He has 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and many loved nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Arthur will take place at Windham Baptist Church in Windham, Maine later in the spring - date to be determined. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Dexter.
