DEXTER - Beatrice Richard, 86, died Thursday, February 8, 2018 at a Dover-Foxcroft nursing home.

She was born May 17, 1931 in Livermore Falls, a daughter of Ovide and Georgianna (Nadeau) LePage. On her 16th birthday, May 17, 1947, she married Leo Richard of Livermore Falls and had 8 children. She loved being a wife and mother. She loved to rock and sing her children to sleep and later in life her grandchildren called her Meme. Beatrice loved to cook, clean and take care of children. She was well known for her fried dough which was called Guillettes. Beatrice was a longtime communicant of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Dexter.

She is survived by 3 sons, Albert and wife Charlotte of Englewood, FL, Dale and wife Donna of Latonia, KY, Arthur and wife Peggy of Boothbay Harbor; 4 daughters, Beatrice Ann Bragg and husband Chester, and Holly Wyman, all of Milo, Jane Weeks and husband Dean of St. Albans, Mary and husband Bruce Garrison of Mooresville, NC; a daughter-in-law, Fay Richard of Dexter; 1 sister, Annette Roseberry of Palmetto, FL; 28 grandchildren; 55 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Leo, her son Leo, Jr., a granddaughter Elizabeth Richard, 3 brothers, Ernest Barton, Wilfred LePage, and Joe Poulin, and sisters Beatrice Elliott and Peggy Dakin.

The family would like to especially thank the nursing staff at Hibbard's Special Care Unit that gave our mother loving care and attention.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 P.M. Monday at Crosby & Neal, 61 Main Street, Dexter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 A.M. Tuesday, February 13th, at St. Anne's Church, Free Street, Dexter, with the Rev. Emile Dube officiating.
