Obituary

BRADFORD - Bernard Pelton, 96, died October 13, 2019 at his residence. He was born October 15, 1922 in Langdon, New Hampshire, a son of Frank and Francis (Robinson) Pelton. Among other things, he worked as a piano tuner throughout New England. He was a musician, proficient in the violin and the verrillon (musical glasses). A 50 year member of the Dexter Seventh Day Adventist Church, he was a student of the Bible with major interests in prophetic themes, writing and publishing a book on Christian prophecy. His son Dan also remembers and appreciates the great effort his father made to keep him in Christian schools throughout his education. Bernard is survived by his wife Gloria of Bradford; 2 sons, Dan and wife Jeanette of Mt. Vernon, OH, and Hugh of Bangor; a sister, Carolyn McGinness of Florida; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife Anna. Funeral services will be held 1 P.M. Saturday, October 19th, at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport, with the Rev. Dan Pelton and L. Fawn Spencer officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from noon until the time of services. Burial will be in the Williams Cemetery, Bradford.
