Obituary

Beryl E. Gray NEWPORT - Beryl Estelle Gray, or as she was known, Gram Gray, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021. She was born April 8, 1932 in Exeter, a daughter of George and Elizabeth (Freese) Perkins. Gram attended Exeter schools and Corinna Union Academy. She worked at Eastland Woolen Mill for 37 years. After retirement she enjoyed helping out with the grandchildren, reading many books, going out to eat and going on long rides with her sister Belva and friend Avis Adams, never knowing where they would end up. Gram is survived by 2 daughters, Meredith Foss and friend Everett Hibbard, Marilee and husband Steven Hartley, daughter in law Judy and husband Ron Richards; grandchildren Richard and wife Lorrie Foss, Kelly Foss Hite and partner Peter Flood, Christine and husband Stephen Henigan, Shawn and wife Julie Richards, Kimberly and husband Adam Friend, Heather Richards, Nicole and husband Hunter Fitts; great grandchildren, Ricki-Lynn and husband Nathan Johndro, Jordan Richards and partner Mazey McKeen, Joshua and wife Courtney Braley, Dylan and wife Tiani Hawthorne, Kayla and husband Justin Temple, twins Kelsie and husband Rob Pratt, Kylie Richards and fiance Zach Talmadge, Victoria and Ryan Friend, Madisyn and Jillian Hartley, Bryan and wife Melissa Henigan, Nathan Henigan and fiancee Jaclyn Hawn, Kristen Henigan, Dillon, Madison and Braydon Fitts; great great grandchildren, Jhett, Finn and Hawk Johndro, Garrett Richards, Harper and Noah Braley, Valeria and Ivy Hawthorne, Simon Temple and Emmett Henigan; a sister, Belva Howes and brother, Charles and wife Clara Perkins; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Gram was predeceased by her husband William "Bill" Gray, son James Gray, great grand daughter Mandi Foss, son in law Arthur Foss, sister Barbara Herring and Beatrice Doody, and gram's companion of 10 years, Earl Hartley. Graveside services will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, October 23rd at the Morse's Corner Cemetery, Corinna. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Sarah's House of Maine, 346 Main Road, Holden, ME 04429. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport.
