DEXTER– Beth Joan Lee, 85, passed away peacefully at Mayo Hospital in Dover-Foxcroft.
She was born April 29, 1940, in Haverhill, New Hampshire, the daughter of John and Bessie Mae (Winn) Oulton, and was raised in Haverhill.
On September 19, 1958, Beth married the love of her life, Alfred W. Lee of Dexter, in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine. Together they built a life centered on family, hard work, and devotion to one another.
Beth pursued higher education and proudly earned her Master's Degree in Social Services. She went on to dedicate her career as a mental health practitioner, working in multiple settings where she made a lasting difference in the lives of many.
Outside of her professional life, Beth loved gardening, particularly tending to her vegetables and flowers. She was an avid reader and collector of many books.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Alfred W. Lee of Dexter; her sons, David Lee and wife Kim of Winterport, Daniel Lee and wife Carrie of Presque Isle, and Joel Lee and wife Christine of Rochester, NH; grandchildren Sophie, Madeline, and Thomas; four sisters; as well as many nieces and nephews.
