Betty L. Burgess NEWPORT & HARMONY – Betty L. Burgess, 87, died August 8, 2023 at her Newport residence. She was born September 13, 1935 in Neptune, NJ, a daughter of Raymond and Mary (Bogan) Emmons. Betty loved her grandchildren and was the best Mom. She is survived by her son Thomas Burgess and his fiancée Esther Brown, both of Newport; 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren. Graveside committal services will be held at a later date at the Libby Cemetery in Harmony. The family wishes to thank Gentiva Hospice for the kind assistance.
