BANGOR & NEWPORT - Betty Ann Grant, 75, died February 23, 2022 at a Bangor hospital. She was born May 8, 1946 in Newport, a daughter of Solomon and Mary (Jenne) Pelkey, Sr. She worked at several area shoe shops and was an avid sports fan.

Betty is survived by 2 sons, Bobby Wing and fiancee Roberta Bemis of Corinna, Timmy and wife Lisa Wing of Pittsfield; a brother, Sol and wife Luanne Pelkey, Jr. of Palmyra; 2 sisters, Delores Thatcher of Belton, SC, and Marie Lord of Passadumkeag; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Terry Grant, and a sister, Juanita Ingalls.

A graveside committal service will be held at Pittsfield Village Cemetery in May. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal.
