Obituary

STETSON - Beulah M. Butler, 87, daughter of the late Ben and Alice (Swett) Savage, died February 12, 2021 at home surrounded by her family. She was born March 31, 1933 in Carmel and attended Stetson schools. She married Maynard Butler in 1951. She worked at Gerald's Store in Newport in the 1950's and moved to Vermont in 1960. She also worked as a substitute cook in school for 3 years and worked at an antique shop for 2 years. Beulah returned to Stetson in 1999 where she became a member of the Stetson Lady's Aid and the Stetson Historical Society. She enjoyed gardening and baking and decorating cakes for all occasions. Her proudest accomplishment was helping to raise her grandchildren. She is survived by 4 children, Millard and wife Debra Butler, Delores Butler, Delina and husband Bradley Stokes, Merideth and husband Daniel Montgomery; 6 grandchildren, Ben, Brian, Maria and Amy Butler, Dan and Heather Fay; 14 great grandchildren; a brother Denver Savage; and a sister Rosa and husband Gary Bellefleur; several nieces and nephews. Beulah was predeceased by her husband and 2 sisters, Eleta Huff and Hilda Savage. Visitation will be private. A graveside committal service will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, May 1st at Coboro Cemetery, Stetson. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport. Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph's Hospice, P. O. Box 403, Bangor, ME 04402.
