DEXTER - Bonnie Daggett, 76, grew her angel wings on December 22, 2020 at a Bangor hospital after a brief illness. She was born September 23, 1944 in Dexter, a daughter of William and Katherine Nadeau. She spent her entire life working at Hathaway Shirt and Dexter Shoe until both businesses closed. She also worked at several convenience stores in Dexter and was know for making the best pizzas in town.
She is survived by her life partner, Leroy Bridges of Dexter; her daughter, Tammy Getchell and significant other Hal Perkins, both of Cambridge; Leroy's son John and wife Stephanie of Corinna; grandchildren, Shawn Nickerson and wife Kayla, Shari Nickerson and partner Phil, Ian Getchell, Zachary, Riley and Anna Bridges, and Aaron Perkins; 2 sisters Janice Prescott and husband Brian, and Judy Ritter, all of Florida. Her greatest joy in life were her great grandchildren, Savannah and Flora Nickerson.
She loved being a foster grandmother for many years at Ridgeview Elementary School and was Grammy Bonnie to every child that attended preschool. Bonnie's passing has left a significant hole in the lives of many.
There will be no services at this time, but the family is planning a service in the summer. Memorial donations may be made to the Cathy Neal Scholarship Fund, c/o Penquis C.A.P., 262 Harlow Street, Bangor, ME 04401. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Dexter.
