DEXTER - Brent Carl Randall, Sr, 72, died peacefully at home on April 22, 2023 after a short illness. He was born in Dexter, June 13, 1950, a son of Vinal and Avis (Mitchell) Randall.
Brent served in South Korea during the Vietnam War in Company A 2 Aviation Battalion as a UH-1 helicopter crew chief, and again during Desert Storm in the 112th Medical Company (Air Ambulance) in Germany, where he received an Army Commendation Award for his meritorious service.
He worked for Dexter Shoe, Fay & Scott, and Numberall Stamp & Tool as a machinist, retiring in 2012. He was a member of the Dusters Antique Car Club and served on the planning board and budget committees, and as a selectman for the Town of Sangerville.
Brent had many varied passions in life, including Isshinryu Karate in which he earned a black belt, roller skating at the Town Hall in Dexter, restoring vintage cars, motorcycles, and boats. He was a gifted mechanic who could fix anything.
Brent had a kind, generous spirit and was always quick to lend a hand to any family or friend in need.
He is survived by his loving wife, Melissa (nee Horst) of 32 years; his children Sonia (Sterling), Brent, Jr. (Bonnie), Sunglee (Etienne), and Cody; his sister Belinda; his brother-in-law Bill; his grandchildren Lucas, Logan, Cédric, Maélie, Kate; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother Bruce.
