DEXTER AND GUILFORD- Catherine L. Neal, 39, died September 30, 2020, at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital as the result of a pulmonary embolism. She was born in Dover-Foxcroft, December 30, 1980, a daughter of Peter and Karen (Pfeffer) Neal.
She attended Grace Bible School in Sangerville and later graduated from Piscataquis Community High School in Guilford. Cathy furthered her education by attending University of Maine graduating class of 2003 with a Bachelor's degree in Education.
Cathy worked for many years for Penquis C.A.P. as Lead Teacher.
Cathy loved spending time with family and friends, especially around her fire pit (or Greg's), but her greatest love was spending time with her nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her father, Peter Neal and wife, Laura of Bangor; her mother, Karen Neal and husband, Michael Wiehn of Dexter; maternal grandmother, Christine Pfeffer of Falmouth; paternal grandmother, Corinne Neal of Dexter; brother, Gregery and wife, Kimberly Neal of Windham; sister, Kimberly and husband, Jason Johnson of Dover-Foxcroft; aunts and uncles, Terri Moore of Windham, Robyn Pfeffer and George of Falmouth, Tena and Dwayne Twomey of Scarborough; Sheila and Steve Heneise of Dexter, Nina and David Speed of Carmel, and Wanda and Jerry Weymouth of Abbot; nieces and nephews who were so very, very special to her, Olivia and Jacob Johnson; Nathaniel, Isabelle, Benjamin and Samuel Neal; and many close friends, especially Elisha Chadwick and Tayler, both of Dexter. She was predeceased by her grandfathers, Robert Pfeffer and A. Maurice Neal.
A public graveside service will be held 2 PM, Saturday, October 3, 2020, at the Elmwood Cemetery in Guilford with Pastor Robert Emrich officiating. In Cathy's honor, the family requests casual wear. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Penquis Child Development Scholarship Fund, P. O. Box 1162, Bangor, ME 04402-1162.
