Obituary

Clyde "Buddy" Smith DEXTER & EXETER - Clyde Smith, 86, went home to be with the Lord December 8, 2022. He was born July 16, 1936 in Bangor, a son of Clyde and Geneva (Sawyer) Smith, Sr. Buddy lived most of his life in Exeter and attended schools in Exeter and Corinna. He was a truck driver for many years for Eastland Woolen Mill in Corinna and went on to own many of his own trucks after that. He was also a partner in Robin Hood Heating with his brother-in-law Vinal Noyes. Buddy was a 50-year member of Pacific Lodge Masons in Exeter and a Shriner at the Anah Shrine in Bangor. He loved snowmobiling, 4 wheeling and boating at his camp on Boyd Lake. He was a member of the South Levant Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Sandra (McEwen) Smith; 3 sons, Wayne, Keith, Jeffery and wife Amy; several nieces, nephews; grandchildren; and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother Alan; 2 sisters Sally Page and Nancy Noyes; a son Kenneth; and a great grandson Kenneth. A celebration of life will be held at 11 A. M. Saturday, January 21, 2023 at the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Exeter, with the Rev. Stan Griffin officiating. Spring burial will be in the Exeter Center Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the South Levant Baptist Church, Levant, ME 04456.
