DEXTER - Cora Elizabeth Frautten, 86, died April 13, 2021 at a Damariscotta hospital. She was born September 30, 1934 in Woodland, Aroostook County, a daughter of John and Mildred (Green) Johnson. Cora worked at Dexter Shoe Company for 42 years. She was a devoted member of New Hope Baptist Church in Dexter where she taught Sunday School, helped prepare communion, and sang in the choir. Cora is survived by her son, Richard and wife Sara of Winthrop; 2 daughters, Donna Frautten of Bangor, Peggy and husband Arthur Richard of South Bristol; her siblings, Oscar Johnson and Carolyn Brown, both of Sangerville; 5 grandchildren, Joshua, Travis and Brady Frautten, Jeannie and Jason Richard; 3 great grandchildren, Ryan Richard, Adalynn and Lillian Frautten; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Paul, sisters Beatrice, Martha, Mable, Leona, Helen, Kathleen and Viola; a brother Raymond, and a grandson Roddy. A graveside funeral and committal service will be held 2 P.M. Saturday, May 1st, at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter, with the Rev. Bob Emrich officiating. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Dexter.
