DANIEL L. TARR
SANGERVILLE – Daniel L. Tarr, 87, died October 8, 2023 at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital. He was born January 23, 1936 in Gloucester, MA a son of Donald and Antoinette Mary (Clukey) Tarr. He attended Sangerville and Guilford schools and served 3 years in the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. He worked in construction for most of his adult life retiring from Atlantic-Corey, Inc. of Dracut, MA. Dan was a member of the Carpenters and Millwrights Local #1996 for 36 years.
He was a member of the Cambridge Lodge #157, Masons, the Central Council Royal and Select Masters of Masons, Dover-Foxcroft, St. John's Commandery #3 in Bangor, a life member of the Maine Consistory, A.A.S.R., a 32nd degree Mason, the Anah Shrine, Bangor, the Tri-County Shrine Club, a charter member of the Sebasticook Valley Lodge of Elks in Pittsfield, a member of the Piscataquis Country Club in Guilford, and a life member of the Sportsmen's Alliance of Maine. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with family at the cottage and house. He loved his Parkman house and hunting camp and enjoyed gardening.
Dan is survived by his loving companion, Dottie Collins; 3 sons, Daniel, II of Bangor, Dale and Brian, both of Texas; stepchildren, Rhonda, Kim, Greg, David and Galen; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Betty.
Graveside committal services will be held at 11 A.M. Friday, October 27th, at the Pingree Center Cemetery in Parkman. Arrangements by Crosby & Neal, Dexter.
