PALMYRA - David Patterson, 80, died December 30, 2021 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He was born October 24, 1941 in Augusta, a son of Albion and Myrtle (Rowe) Patterson. He was a 1959 graduate of Cony High School and served in the U. S. Army. He married Martha (Dill) Patterson in 1965 and Shirley Stewart in 2005. He retired from Insight Health and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Dexter and the Kiwanis. In addition to his wife Shirley, he is survived by 2 sons, Terrance and wife Lisa Patterson, Aaron and wife Kimberly Patterson; grandchildren Amanda Spurrell, Aaron, Gregory and Matthew Patterson; great grandchildren Evan, Carson, Adam, Quinn, Amelia, Theo, Ada and Cameron; stepchildren Richard Donaldson and wife Stacey, Warren Donaldson and partner Ranea, Mark Donaldson and partner Savuthy, John Donaldson and wife Carolyn, Victoria Donaldson and Partner Tom Cruise, Kimberly Donaldson and partner Todd; many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. David was predeceased by his wife Martha, a daughter Melinda, 2 great grandchildren Shade Rowan Patterson and Ayden Alan Rowe Spurrell and siblings Bernice Taber, Dorothy Creasey, Rachael Gary, Maynard and Albion Patterson. A memorial service will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at the First Baptist Church of Dexter, with the Rev. Andrew Bermudez officiating. Friends may call from 10 A.M. until the time of the service. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport.
