DEXTER – David P. Saulmer, 69, passed away May 17, 2023 at an Augusta hospital. He was born July 2, 1953 in Dover-Foxcroft. He grew up in Sangerville, graduating from Guilford High School, Class of 1971. He resided in Dexter for the past 19 years. David worked a variety of jobs over the years including at lumber mills, Asplundh trees and as a farm hand. He enjoyed camping and yard-saling. He was always dickering for a good deal. His biggest love was Harley Davidson motorcycles. He loved to ride, made many trips to Laconia, NH, and was a member of the United Bikers of Maine for several years.

He is survived by 2 sons, Scott Saulmer and fiancée Amanda, and John Saulmer; a daughter Mary-Ellen Smart and husband Donald; siblings Susan Jaquet, Tammy Hathcote and Ralph Saulmer, Jr.; step mother Duella Saulmer; many aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and friends.

He was predeceased by his father Ralph Saulmer, Sr., a sister Lisa Saulmer, and his Mom and Dad Patricia and Oscar Johnson.

A graveside service will be held at 1 P.M. June 3rd at the Jackman Corner Cemetery, Sangerville. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Dexter.
