GARLAND - Dennis Girard, 62, died August 28, 2021 at his residence. He was born in New Bedford, MA, April 18, 1959, a son of Raymond and Pauline (Poirier) Girard. He had an Associate degree in design engineering and worked in that field for much of his career.

He was a former member of the U. S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and was a former charter boat captain and owner of D. G. Fishing Charters. He loved to hunt, fish and play the guitar. He enjoyed and excelled at woodworking projects and for several years had his own business doing home improvements.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Michele Girard; his mother, Pauline Girard; 3 brothers, David, Daniel and wife Kathy, and Darryl Girard; a stepdaughter, Tracie Millette-Shuman and husband Mark; 5 grandchildren, Lane, Ari, Ella, Ben and Wyatt; a sister-in-law, Lucille Morris and husband Gerry; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Garland Community Baptist Church, with Pastor Scott Millett officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to the church, P. O. Box 76, Garland, ME 04939. Cremation arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Dexter.
