EXETER - Donald Charles Gould, 78, died September 16, 2020 at his residence following a long illness. He was born July 8, 1942 in Exeter a son of Charles and Margaret (Bubar) Gould. Donald served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Exeter Full Gospel Church and will be remembered as a loving father, husband and grandfather. He worked at Eastland Woolen Mill in Corinna for 36 years.
Donald is survived by his wife, Barbara (McLucas) Gould; and son, Edward "Spike" Gould, both of Exeter; 3 brothers, Robert of Newport, Peter of Corinna, Frank and wife Arlene of Stetson; 3 sisters, Neva Cobb and Dorothy Gould, both of Dexter, and Priscilla Lupo of Virginia; 2 grandchildren, Alex and Ryan.
He was predeceased by his son Michael, who died in 1997.
Due to CDC guidelines, 50 invited relatives and friends will attend a private visitation at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport. Public graveside funeral and committal services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, September 26th, at the Chamberlain Cemetery, Chamberlain Meeting House Road, Exeter, with the Rev. Chris Faloon officiating.
