Obituary

DEXTER- Dorothy "Dotty" Doyon, 74, died July 18, 2013, at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor. She was born April 19, 1939, in Buchans, Newfoundland, Canada, the daughter of Matthew and Edith (King) Glavine.

She was a graduate of Hartland Academy and worked for several years for Dexter Shoe Company as a secretary. She later worked in the Guidance Counselor's Office at Dexter Regional High School. Dotty was a faithful communicant of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Dexter, and was very involved with the various church charities. She was an active member of the Dexter Sunshine Club.

She enjoyed gardening, crafts, reading, board games, and hosting all the family gatherings. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents; her step father, Harold Bishop; and a brother, Ronald Glavine.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Douglas D. Doyon of Dexter; a daughter, Amy Webber and her husband, Scott of Dexter; and a son, Peter Doyon and his wife, Kimberly of Cape Elizabeth; a brother, Jack Glavine and his wife, Polly of Naples, Maine; a sister, Gloria Tarr and her husband, Tim of Blue Hill; a sister-in-law, Deanne Glavine of OR; three grandchildren, Dana and Olivia Webber, and Ella Doyon; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 PM, Sunday, July 21, 2013 at Crosby & Neal, 61 Main Street in Dexter.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM, Monday, July 22nd, at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Dexter, with burial in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter.
