DEXTER & EXETER - Dorothy F. Gould, 83, passed away peacefully December 27, 2021 at an Athens boarding home. She was born October 24, 1938 in Exeter, a daughter of Charles and Margaret (Bubar) Gould.

She was a past member of the Messiah Episcopal Church of Dexter. Besides raising her family, Dot worked several jobs in the area, including handsewing shoes, preschool attendant, home healthcare worker and hair stylist. Her deepest and most abiding interest was always the well-being of her family.

Dorothy is survived by 4 children, Bobbi-Jane and husband, the Rev. Kevin Holsapple of Dexter, Ronald Sweet, Jr. and wife Mary of Exeter, James Sweet of Stetson, and Steven and wife Laurie Sweet of Augusta; brothers, Peter Gould of Bradley and the Rev. Frank Gould of Corinna; a sister Priscilla Lupo; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by 5 brothers, John, Donald, Robert, Britt and Rockne; 2 sisters, Neva and JoAnn; and a grandson Joseph Sweet.

A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Spring burial will be at the Chamberlain Cemetery, Exeter. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Dexter.
