Obituary

Douglas "Bill" Butler DEXTER – Douglas "Bill" Butler, 63, passed away unexpectedly on July 10, 2023. He was the son of Alvah and Wilma (Hesketh) Butler. He graduated from Dexter Regional High School and was employed at the sawmill in St. Albans. He loved going to concerts, car shows, and demolition derbies. Douglas was loved and cared for by his home care provider, Rhoda White, where he lived for 20 years. Bill was part of the Curtis family whom he loved. He also had a special friend Cheryl Elms. He was part of Living Innovations and part of the day program which he attended in Newport. He had a worker, Tory Ferris, who had an impact on Bill's life. He also had a case manager, Janet Gardner, who always looked out for Douglas. Friends may call from 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday, July 19th, at Crosby & Neal, 61 Main Street, Dexter, where funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. Saturday, July 22nd, with the Rev. Lyman Curtis officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter
