Douglas M. Mills, Sr., 71, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, January 7, 2023. Doug was born September 6, 1951. He graduated from Dexter Regional High School where he met the love of his life, Betty-Jean. He also went to the vocational school for automotives. Doug worked at Dexter Shoe Co. from high school till they closed. He was also in the Army as a mechanic in Germany for many years. Doug got his Class A CDL then worked for Hammond Lumber for over 20 years. Doug was predeceased by his wife, Betty-Jean in 2013. He is survived by 2 children, Cassandra Curtis and spouse Stephen, and Douglas Mills, Jr. and spouse Alicia; a grandson Scotty, that he loved very much; a granddog Dobbie that he loved. Doug also enjoyed to go ice fishing with his family and watch the deer around his property. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Cancer Care of Maine in his name. Cremation arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Dexter.
