Obituary

SAINT ALBANS - Duane Killam, 72, passed away March 24, 2021 at his home to join with loved ones in Heaven. Duane was born in Hartland August 15, 1948. Growing up in Pittsfield, he enjoyed music, playing the drums with marching bands in local parades. He also loved animals, rode horses and competed in local horse shows, having a room full of ribbons! As a Dad, he loved to have fun and would take his daughter, Tammy to amusement parks, fishing and camping, and for rides on his Harley Davidson. Duane loved his family very much. Duane was a good mechanic and welder and worked for various companies doing mechanic work, welding, truck driving and even worked on a tugboat on the Mississippi River. In his later years, he worked for road construction companies as a flagger. He is survived by his daughter, Tammy Killam of Newport and two granddaughters, Heather and Dawn; his sister, Cassie Nichols of WA; and several cousins, nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his parents, Ernest and Patricia (Lord) Killam of Pittsfield. A memorial service will be held will be held this summer at the Village Cemetery, Pittsfield, at a date to be determined. Cremation arrangements are by Crosby & Neal.
