Edward Gerry Farrar, 90, died February 18, 2020 at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital. He was born February 28, 1929 in Ripley, a son of Edward R. and Emma (Gerry) Farrar. He graduated from N. H. Fay High School and married the former Evelyn Noble on June 23, 1951. They owned and operated the Shurfine Grocery Store in Dexter for nearly nine years.
He was a member Cambridge Lodge Masons and the Almeda Chapter O.E.S. of Guilford. He attended the Cambridge Baptist Church. Edward was also active in the Grange.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son Michael and wife Lori Farrar of St. Albans; a daughter Cynthia and husband Reginald Page of Abbot; a daughter in law, Linda Roberts of Corinna; a brother David and wife Carol Farrar of Florida; many grandchildren, great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his son Richard.
Graveside committal services will be held at the West Ripley Cemetery in the spring. Memorial donations may be made to ESTARL, Mrs. Cynthia Page, Secretary, 1 Howard Siding Lane, Abbot, ME 04406. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Dexter.
