Edwin Perley "Eddy" Brown the Third, 57, of Stetson, Maine, passed away on April 26, 2025, in Stetson. Born on April 24, 1968, in Waterville, Maine, Eddy lived a life marked by devotion—to his faith, his family, and his community.
Eddy was the beloved husband of Emily Brown, with whom he shared a deep and faithful bond. He was the proud father of his beloved children: Kristen DeRoo (Thomas DeRoo), Kaitlin Ouellette (Matt Ouellette), Kallie Brown (Noah Kiel), and Edwin Brown. He also embraced his role as stepfather to his beloved stepdaughters: Mary Nesbitt, Sydney Nesbitt (Kyle Lewis), and Hope Nesbitt. As the oldest son of Edwin Perley Brown II and Joyce (Foss) Brown, Eddy was a cherished brother to Joel Brown (Gili Lee Brown), Monique Morales, and Nanette Brown (Norm Nevins). He also had numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members who adored him.
For 41 years, Eddy worked in the flooring industry. He was known for his strong work ethic and his ability to quickly and accurately complete a job. His colleagues remember him as a dedicated and compassionate individual who always went the extra mile to help others. Eddy also served as a valued member in the United States Marine Corps during Desert Storm.
Eddy's happy place was the family camp on Toddy Pond. He enjoyed campfires, and spending time with family. Eddy lived with a rare and beautiful devotion to those he loved and found joy in helping everyone he knew. There was no request too big or small; no inconvenience ever mattered. If he could make someone's life a little easier or a little happier, he would move heaven and earth to do it. His heart was as generous as it was selfless, and his quiet acts of kindness left lasting imprints on everyone blessed enough to know him.
A man of unwavering faith, Eddy trusted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Stetson. His love for Christ shaped every aspect of his life—from how he served others to how he led his family. Emily often found comfort in waking each morning to see Eddy's devotional book open at the page where he had last left off—a quiet testament to his daily walk with God.
