Newport – Ellen J. Cote, 67, passed away on September 16, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on September 18, 1958.

Ellen is survived by her husband, David; her son, Phillip Cote; her sister, Melodie Bellefleur; three stepsons; two grandchildren, Mercedes Michaels and Asher Cote; five step-grandchildren; her great-grandson, Ezra Michaels; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, Ellen’s family kindly asks that donations be made in her memory to the Eastern Maine Medical Center Cancer Center.

In keeping with Ellen’s wishes, there will be no formal services at this time.
