DEXTER--Elva Atwater, 73, wife for 54 years of Randall "Sonny" E. Atwater, III, passed away peacefully at home, May 5, 2019, surrounded by loving family. Elva was born January 19, 1946 in Island Falls, a daughter of Harold and Mary (Hurlbert) Connor. She had been employed at Dexter Health Care as a CNA/medtech for 26 years. She loved spending time with family, going for long walks, and gardening. She is survived by her husband, Randall Atwater III of Dexter. Elva will be missed by her loving children; Debra Boyd of Pittsfield, Randall Atwater, IV and his wife Stacey of Dexter, Penny Atwater of Newport, and Jamie Atwater and wife Lori of Dexter. She was loved by 9 grandchildren, Naomi and Crystal Clark, Holly Pooler, Sarah and Heather Atwater, Michael and Timothy Woodbury, and Kaitlyn and Ellie McComb; 4 great grandchildren; brother, Daniel Connor and wife Annie of Fayetteville, NC; sisters, Patricia Hussey and husband George of Winn, Cora Connor and Violet Hunt, both of Abbot. She was predeceased by a brother Hugh Michaud; and her sisters, Cecilia Hussey and Myrtle Rand. Graveside and committal services will be held at a later date with Pastor Lyman Curtis officiating.
