Eugenia (Genie) Mae Nutting Deering 68, passed away on September 20 ,2025 unexpectedly in her home. Genie was born on December 1,1956 in Dover-Foxcroft to James and Alberta Nutting. Genie grew up on Sebec Lake road and graduated from Foxcroft Academy in 1975. After graduation she was employed at Prouty Auto Body where she met her husband, Bruce Deering. Genie also worked for Dexter Shoe Company for several years then worked for Broadcrest Dairy Farm for 30 years, Genie loved her work with cows and even worked on the morning she passed. Genie loved spending time with family especially her grandchildren. She was a girl scout leader, involved in school sports Boosters and attended all her children and grandchildren's sports events. She loved gardening, canning, and yard sailing Genie is survived by her sister, Patricia Smith and her husband Clayton Smith of Oakland, her daughter Liza McTighe of St Albans, son Barry Deering and wife Mandee Deering of Dexter, ten grandchildren Izzy, Francis, Henry, Matt, Kaylee, Caden, Macey, Addy, Ava, And Lillianna, her sister-in-law Kim and her husband Andy Conway of Greenville, and Tammy and Husband Rick Sherburne of Sun City Center, Florida, and Special friend Mike Burns. Genie was predeceased by her husband Bruce Deering, brother Robert Nutting, mother Alberta Nutting, and her father James Nutting, and mother-in-law Marge Deering. A celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date.
