DEXTER - Evelyn Jean (Woodard) Field, 83, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her daughters on March 24, 2019. She was born February 23, 1936 in Dexter, a daughter of Avon and Philixina Woodard. Evelyn graduated from Dexter High School, Class of 1954. Soon after graduating she married the love of her life, Albion H. Field. She spent her entire life in Dexter where she was employed by the Dexter Shoe Company. She was an active member of several area churches. Family and friends will remember her many talents including photography, painting and woodworking. She was an active person playing basketball, softball, tennis and most recently wallyball at the local YMCA. Her desire in life was to make people laugh which she did quite effectively. Friends will smile and remember her cheerful, "life of the party" nature. She is survived by her daughters, Sally (Bruce) Kallgren and Julie (Nick) Glidden; grandchildren Beau Brasier and Ashley (Alan) Raymond; great grandchildren; Aidan, Rylee, Allie Mae and Lorelai. She was predeceased by her husband, a daughter Kathy, her parents and a brother Avon T. Woodard. No services are planned at this time. Evelyn will be buried in the spring at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer's Association, 383 U. S. Route one, Suite 2C, Scarborough, ME 04074.
