Florence Louise Bailey, 85, ended her ten year battle with Alzheimer's disease on September 19, 2019. She was born on May 10, 1934. She is now at peace with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Florence was a faithful member of the Cambridge Baptist Church; teaching Sunday School, leading Bible studies, and working with the Pioneer Girls. She was an active member of the Extension and enjoyed being a member of the Dusters Antique Car Club, four wheeling, camping and snowmobiling with Raymond. She was a stay-at-home mom for many years, taking excellent care of her husband and children. Florence loved cooking, making crafts, sewing and making baskets.
She worked as the Postmaster of the Cambridge Post Office for 30 years, after beginning her career there working as a clerk on Saturday mornings.
She is survived by 4 children; James and wife Lisa Bailey of Wilton, Larry and wife Kelley Bailey of Newmarket, NH, Elaine and husband Ken Gilmore of Dayton, Sharon and husband Steven Foster of Dexter; 2 sisters, Marion Moran of Enfield, CT, Kathy Neuheisel of Spring Green, WI; a step brother George Fogg of Kennebunk; 8 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.
Florence was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Raymond; and twin daughters, Linda and Laura.
A memorial service will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, September 28th, at the Cambridge Baptist Church with her grandson Paul Gant officiating.
