Obituary

STETSON- Floyd A. Harding, 80, died November 12, 2014, in Stetson following a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born October 28, 1934, in St. Albans, son of Frank and Ruby (Farmer) Harding.

Floyd graduated from Corinna High School and worked for HP Hood and Sons for 33 years. After retirement, he worked at Caravel Middle School as a custodian. He was loved by the students and staff of the school. Floyd was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Newport for 50 plus years. He was also a member of the Carmel Snowmobile Club for many years. Floyd loved to hunt and fish and hang out with his family and friends.

He had some very special friends, Kay, and Marvin and Connie.

Floyd is survived by his son, Norman and wife, Leona Harding of Rockwood; a daughter, Mary Tufts and fiance, Stephen Haining of Stetson; grandsons, Steven Harding and fiancee, Carrie McCoy of Florida, Jason Harding and wife, Melissa of Rhode Island; granddaughter, Amanda Tufts Sibley and husband, Gary Sibley of Stetson. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Flora Graves of Etna, Pauline Harding of Florida, Marie Harding of Lincoln, and many nieces and nephews. Floyd was predeceased by his loving wife of 58 years, Maxine "Jo" (Graves) Harding. He was also predeceased by a great granddaughter; brothers, Lionel Harding and Harold Harding; sisters, Kathleen Bubar, and Althea Knowles.

At Floyd's request, there will be no services. Arrangements by Crosby & Neal, Guilford.
