DEXTER – Gary A. Burton, Jr., 59, passed away at home July 2, 2023 after a long battle with cancer with his family by his side. He was born February 28, 1964 in Dexter, a son of Gary and Nancy (Smith) Burton, Sr.

Gary graduated from Dexter Regional High School and served in the U. S. Army. He was employed as a machinist/supervisor at General Electric for 19 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy (Fish) Burton; a daughter Lindsay Panciera and husband Tom; a son, Gary Burton, III and wife Nicki; a bonus son, Joshua Smith and fiancée Courtney; a step daughter, Randi Davis; a brother, Wesley Burton and wife Rhonda; a sister, Robin Litke and husband Dave; grandchildren, Kali, Emma, TJ, Whitney and Gary, IV; and many family and friends.

At his request there will be no services at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Dexter.
