Harlan King

DEXTER & HERMON - Harlan King, 83, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, January 21, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 24, 1939 in Dover-Foxcroft, a son of John A. and Beatrice (Plummer) King. Harlan graduated from Foxcroft Academy.
He was known as a committed father and husband, who helped many within his community. He had an admirable work ethic. He worked at Dexter Shoe Company for over 30 years and Coca Cola for 10 years. He enjoyed socializing and was often found in conversations with anyone. He loved hunting and fishing and was extremely talented with building and construction. He enjoyed watching the Patriots and the Red Sox. Harlan's generosity for others was unmatched and he will be sadly missed. He will be remembered for his kind, loving and giving nature. Harlan was always willing and often helped people in need. He was always quick with a heartfelt story or a well-timed joke.
Harlan is survived by his wife of 59 wonderful years, Millie King. He is also survived by his children Mandy King and wife Jill, and Corey King and wife Alisha and their children Maddie and Olivia; his grandchild Caleb King and his son Kiefer; his brothers, Ernie, Albert and Gary King and sister Mona Larrabee.
There will be no services at this time. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Crosby & Neal, Newport. The family will not be accepting gifts, donations or flowers at this time.
