DEXTER--Hildon E. Bickford, 85, died December 21, 2015 at his residence.

He was born September 12, 1930 in Hartland, the son of Everett and Lucy (Smart) Bickford.

He was a licensed electrician at Keyes Fiber, Fay-Scott, Cianbro, and Hancock lumber. Hildon was a member of the Penobscot Lodge IOOF, attended the Emmanuel Baptist Bible Church in Plymouth and was close to the Lord.

He is survived by a son, Danny and wife Eleanor Bickford of Dexter; 3 daughters, Judy Sinclair of Bangor, Brenda and husband Ed Genereux, Mary and husband Ernest Woodbury, all of Dexter; 10 grandchildren, including a special granddaughter Amy Bradley; 16 great grandchildren, including 3 special great grandchildren, Hannah Bradley, Jacob Bickford, and Katie Getchell; 5 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife Audrey in 2009.

Graveside funeral and committal services will be held at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter, in the spring. Memorial donations to assist the family with funeral expenses may be made to Crosby & Neal, 61 Main Street, Dexter, ME 04930.
