DIXMONT - Irene G. (Basche) Harrington passed away on June 14, 2020 at her son and daughter - in -law's summer home on Swans Island at the age of 95. She was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on March 20, 1925. After marrying Eldred Harrington they made several moves around the country and eventually returned to Eldred's home state of Maine and settled in the Sangerville/Guilford/Parkman area.

She was predeceased by her eldest son, Michael H. Harrington, and by her husband Eldred L. Harrington. Irene is survived by her middle son Patrick G. Harrington, his wife Marcia (Giordano) Harrington and their two children Jayson Harrington and Shanara Harrington, all living in Ormond Beach, Florida. She is also survived by her youngest son Allen L. Harrington and his wife Jessica (Bailey) Harrington living in Dixmont, with whom she has lived for the past 15 years. Additionally she is survived by her widowed daughter - in- law Mercer Harrington living in Bradford; and Mercer's daughter Angelina (Cowperthwaite) Bosowicz, son-in-law Jason Bosowicz, and their daughter Morgan Bosowica, all living in Billings, Montana; and her son Corey Cowperthwaite, his wife Michelle (Gilbert) Cowperthwaite and their son Michael Cowperthwaite, all living in Corinth.

No services are planned and she will be laid to rest at the Harrington family lot in Jackman Corner Cemetery, Sangerville. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport.
