Ivan Omar Cunningham

CORINNA—Ivan O. Cunningham, 82, died unexpectedly December 31, 2024 as the result of a motor vehicle accident. He was born September 1, 1942 in Cherryfield a son of Richard and Caroline (Gray) Cunningam.

Ivan will be fondly remembered as kind gentleman who always turned a stranger into a friend. He was a hardworking man, always providing for his family. He loved watching sports on TV, especially football and NASCAR, the social hour at the senior housing and his dogs, especially Raisin.

He is survived by daughter Raelynn Cunningham and granddaughter Maykayla Cunningham, three siblings Amber Burpee, Brent Cunningham and Stuart Cunningham; several nieces and nephews and a close friend Greg.

He was predeceased by the mother of his children Linda Cunningham, daughter Vicki Hinckley, granddaughter Natasha, son-in-law Jim Hinckley, and siblings Orrin Cunningham, Ronald Cunningham, and Shelia Gray.

A celebration of his life will be conducted 1PM Saturday March 15, 2025 at Crosby-Neal Funeral Home 117 Main St Newport. Spring burial will be at Hillside Cemetery, Bucksport. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital www.stjude.org
