Obituary

CORINNA - James "Jay" Bradley, Jr., 50, unexpectedly passed away April 28, 2023. He was born September 17, 1972 in Springfield, Massachusetts to Sandy Hughes and James "Jim" Bradley, Sr. Jay moved to Corinna at 5 years old with his parents and sister in 1978 to carve out their homestead, which remains in his family to this day. Jay loved the farm and helping his mom maintain the property in all the ways he knew how. He attended Washington County Community College in 1993 and had been working as a HVAC technician for the last 30 years. He was employed by McKusick's Petroleum in Dover-Foxcroft for many of those years and also ran his own heating business. He was a dedicated employee and took pride in the work he did bringing heat to people's homes. He loved his family so much. He was a dedicated father, son, uncle, brother, and friend. If there was anything to do, whether it be work, fun, or trouble, Jay was always first in line. He was a helpful man and positive light in this world who will be missed so much by his family and friends. Jay is survived by his parents, Sandy Hughes of Corinna and Jim and Denise Bradley of Parrot, VA; his grandfather Roger Hughes of Corinna; his three children, daughter Alycia and husband Andy Reed of Corinna, son Jacob Bickford of Levant, and daughter Hannah Bradley of Pittsfield; 3 siblings, his brother Adam and wife Jessi Bradley of Dexter, sister Tammy and husband Chris Creswell of St Albans, and sister Sarah Bradley of Waterville; nieces and nephews, Jeffrey Ludden, Rachel and Josh Creswell, Kaileigh Clowry, Mason Pelletier, Jayden and Jackson Bradley; and two great nieces Brinley and Oakley Ludden. He was predeceased by his maternal grandmother Marjorie Hughes and paternal grandparents Beverly and Robert Bradley, Sr. A celebration of life will be held 2 P.M., Sunday, May 7th at the family farm on the end of Brown Road in Corinna where Jay loved to spend much of his time.
