NEWPORT - Janice Louise (Hutchinson) Campbell, 83, died April 19, 2019 at her residence. She was born May 29, 1935 in Waterville, a daughter of Cecil M. and Marjorie (Sterling) Hutchinson. Janice graduated from Waterville High School and was a member of the Getchell Street Baptist Church. She had lived in the Newport area since 1959, having worked for Newport Trust Company, Friend & Friend, and retired from Bangor Wholesale Foods (Sysco) in 1999. Janice is survived by her husband Alan R. Campbell; children, Shelby Sawyer of St. Albans, Joan and husband Craig Arno of Palmyra, Cynthia and husband Michael Michaud of Bradford, Scott and wife Marilyn Jakins of Newport; grandchildren, William Sawyer, Katie Pearl, Jill Millett, Amy O'Connor, Ashley Riley, Jesse Turner, and Tyler Jakins; several great grandchildren and the extended families of Ken and Mark Campbell of North Carolina, the Bradford families in Maine and Florida; her sister, Ann Safford of Dover, New Hampshire; and her nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her husband Maurice Bradford and Dean Jakins, the father of her children. The family would like to thank the hospice workers who have been so helpful, Katie, Ellen, Pam, Lori, and Vanessa. A memorial service will be held 3 P.M. Saturday, April 27th, at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport, where friends may call from 2 P.M. until the time of services. Pastor Al H. Worden will officiate. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Newport.
