CLINTON & DEXTER - Jeanette Swan, 81, was born September 29, 1930 in Dexter, a daughter of Horace and Alphonsine (Giguiere) Poulin.

We lost our beloved mother, wife, and wonderful friend July 9, 2012. She passed away of natural causes at the Suncoast Hospice House Brookside in Palm Harbor, Florida.

Jeanette and Fred Swan were winter residents of Clearwater, Florida for the last 16 years and resided in Clinton during the summer months. Jeanette was employed by Dexter Shoe Company in Dexter and Dick's Market in Clinton before she and Fred retired in 1996. Jeanette loved singing with the Kennebells and Evening Extension in Clinton for many years.

She is survived by her husband, James F. Swan Sr., (known to everyone as Fred), and three loving sons, Mark Swan and wife Linda of Bangor , James F. Swan Jr and wife Jessica of Clinton, and Scott Swan of Quincy MA; grandchildren, Christine Alice Swan , Jessica Alphonsine Swan , James F. Swan III, Stephanie, Terry and Abbie Jennings; great grandchildren, Kyesha, Selden, Emit, and new born Amelia; sisters, Geraldine Beaulieu, and Edith Garrison; many nieces and nephews. We all will miss her and loved her dearly. May she rest in peace.

Friends may call from 6-8 P.M. Monday at Crosby & Neal, 61 Main Street, Dexter, where funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Tuesday, July 17th, with the Rev. George Darling officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
