GUILFORD - Jeffrey Alan Drinkwater, 64, died October 6, 2018 at his residence. He was born November 16, 1953 in Dover-Foxcroft, a son of Burton and Kay (Wiley) Drinkwater. Jeffrey was a loving father and son. He grew up and raised his family in Guilford. He was first and foremost a caring, devoted father who loved his children more than anything. He believed in instilling in them a strong work ethic, good morals, and a positive outlook on life which is how he lived. Jeffrey served in the U. S. Navy and Merchant Marines for many years before starting his career at the Guilford-Sangerville Water District. He used to joke, "No one knows water like a Drinkwater." He thoroughly enjoyed his work.
He also enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing with his son, and time spent at camp with family and friends. He is survived by a son, Lucas B. Drinkwater; a daughter, Katarina A. Drinkwater; his mother Kay Drinkwater; a brother Scott Drinkwater, and sister Linda Drinkwater.
