Joan J. Bulger CORINNA & WINTERPORT – Joan Bulger, 86, died January 5, 2024 at her daughter's home in Winterport. She was born January 8, 1937 in Dexter, a daughter of James and Mildred (Worden) MacDonald. She was employed at Eastland Woolen Mill and was a communicant of Our Lady of the Snows Parish, St. Anne's Catholic Church, Dexter. She will be remembered as a wonderful cook with many fond family memories of time around the table. She enjoyed gardening and snowmobiling with Ed. She also worked on the Corinna Ambulance and in her younger years was known as a horsewoman riding bare back or standing on the horse's back. Joan is missed by her children, Trudy and husband Myles Gallant of Summerside, P.E.I., Canada, Pat and wife Monica Bulger of Newburyport, MA and Donna Bulger and significant other Don Muth of Winterport; 4 grandchildren, Danielle, Graig, Cory, and Jody; 6 great grandchildren, Jack, Benny, Jessa, Hailey, Lincoln, and Avery; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Edward D. Bulger; and her siblings, Julia and husband Reg MacLean, Gene and wife Susan MacDonald, Rose and husband Don Carney, Bud and wife Barb MacDonald and Reg and wife Patsy MacDonald Friends may call at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport from 10 to noon, Friday, January 12th. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 P.M. Friday at St. Anne's Church, 64 Free Street, Dexter, with the Rev. Father Rob Lupo officiating.
