STETSON - Joan Lee Capone, 79, died May 2, 2021 at a Bangor hospital. She was born March 14, 1942 in Fitchburg, MA, a daughter of Ralph and Ethel (Whittemore) Person. After receiving an Associate's Degree in fashion design, she became an accomplished and self employed seamstress for many years. She was also a talented artist enjoying painting. Her hobby was gardening.

Joan is survived by her husband of 57 years, Robert Capone, Sr.; a son Robert Capone, Jr. and a daughter Cristen Capone, all of Stetson; a brother Ralph Person of Fitchburg, MA; and a sister Judy Scipione of Leominster, MA; 4 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren.

Private funeral services will be held at 10 A.M. Friday, May 7th, at Crosby & Neal, 117 Main Street, Newport, with Pastor Al H. Worden officiating. Burial will be in the Clark's Hill Cemetery, Stetson.
