DEXTER - Joanne Day, 86, passed from this earth and entered her heavenly home and eternal life on April 15, 2019. She was born March 11, 1933 in Corinna, a daughter of Crosby and Leona (Deag) Knowles. She was a loving and devoted mother and stay at home wife. Known for her compassionate demeanor, humble character and beautiful heartwarming smile, she was a talented cook with a passion for taking care of others.

She is survived by 3 sons, Bruce and wife Vicki Day of St. Albans, Brent and wife Kathy Day of Dexter and Robert Day of Swansville; sister Yvonne Hartford of Dexter; brothers Ronnie Knowles of Milo, and Reggie Knowles of Pittsfield; grandchildren, Kim House, Amy Morin, Donnie, Spencer, Nick, Matt, Eric and Katie Day; son in law Richard Hunt; and 2 special nieces Mary Willey and Jane Huggins.

In addition to her parents, Joanne was predeceased by her husband of over 65 years, Harry Day; loving daughter Cindy Hunt; sisters Phyllis Chambers and Patricia Day; brothers Barry, Norman and Arthur Knowles; and grandsons Travis and Christopher Day. Graveside committal services will be held later in the spring at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Dexter.
